Lynchburg, VA - This week for ABC 13 Team of the Week, we're spotlighting the Holy Cross boys soccer team. The Gaels brought a 15-and-1 record into this afternoon's home game against North Cross.

Holy Cross is ranked number one in the state in the Virginia Independent Schools Division Two poll. The Gaels knocked off V.E.S. yesterday and are hoping to ride their momentum all the way to a state title this year.

Gaels Senior Captain Kenny Sterne said, "I think it's the leadership and the communication on the field and it's wonderful. We talk to each other, we get along, it's good. We connect passes, it's very strong."
Gaels Junior Goalie Nolan Mann said, "I've played with the guys I've been playing with since I was probably four or five years old. And I've played together all through middle school and high school. And all our passes are connecting and we know where each other's gonna be."
