D.C. United announce u14 Academy Tryouts

Washington D.C. (April 16, 2013) – D.C. United today announced that its tryout sessions will be held on May 15 and May 16 for the recently announced U-14 Academy team for interested players born on or after January 1, 1999. The U-14s, in its final campaign in the D.C. United’s Pre-Academy system, will now compete in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) league starting in Fall 2013 at the helm of Head Coach Jonathan Frias. The new system will follow a model that increases training to four times a week, with fewer but more significant matches, as well as a regionalized schedule structure to minimize the amount of travel for players and parents.
