WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William
and Mary freshman goalkeeper Caroline Casey was honored as the Colonial
Athletic Association Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Casey earned the distinction after posting consecutive
shutouts over Villanova and Seton Hall at the Villanova Invitational this past
weekend. The Chesapeake, Va., native
tallied 10 saves en route to earning all-tournament team accolades.
Casey has held the opposition scoreless during the last four
games. Through seven contests this
season, she has tallied 26 saves and owns a goals against average of 0.75. Among her highlights this season was a
career-high nine-save effort at Tennessee.
The College returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 16, as it
welcomes Davidson to Martin-Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field for a 2 p.m.
kickoff. W&M enters the contest
against the Wildcats riding a five-game winning streak and has defeated its
opponents by a combined score of 11-0.
