RICHMOND, Va.—In sports, it takes years to build a perennial power. For first-year program RVA Football Club, it took months to take a first step in making that happen, culminating in Sunday night’s 2-0 win over the Sonoma County Sol in the National Premier Soccer League National Championship played at Sports Backers Stadium.
