Washington, D.C. (December 19, 2012) – +D.C. United today
announced that the club has re-signed veteran defender Robbie Russell. Russell
made 19 appearances (16 starts) and tallied a goal in the 2012 campaign, his
first season with United. Per club and League policy, exact terms of the deal
were not disclosed.
“We are pleased that Robbie will return to United for the
2013 season,” said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper. “Robbie brings a
wealth of experience and veteran leadership to our locker room, and we are
pleased to have reached an agreement to bring him back,” continued
Kasper.

Good to see DCU re-sign defender Robbie Russell. Good solid defender. Judging from his comments a few weeks back, this will probably be his last year.
