“Shane had a very productive
rookie season and we are delighted that he has agreed to sign a long term
contract with the Kickers,” commented Leigh
Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Head Coach and Director of Soccer.
“We believe Shane has the talent and desire to one day play in Major
League Soccer and look forward to working together to make that a reality.”
Making an immediate impact with the
starting lineup, Johnson started all 22 games played in his debut season.
Notching his first professional goal on June 1, 2012 against the Harrisburg
City Islanders, the native of Ashburn, also contributed to eight shutouts.
