Coaches for DePuy Mitek Injury Prevention Program Thursday
RICHMOND,
VA – (Tuesday, August 21, 2012) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased
to host the first-ever DePuy Mitek Injury Prevention Program this Thursday,
August 23 at Ukrop Park in Chesterfield, Virginia as the first stop on a
nationwide tour. U.S. Women’s National Team and London Olympic Gold
Medalist Lauren Cheney is scheduled to appear during the two-hour interactive clinic
designed to raise awareness around injury prevention.
One
hundred Richmond Kickers youth players, ages U12-U18 and their parents will
participate in the seminar that kicks off with a special SONY tablet
interactive presentation about injury prevention, health and wellness with a Sports
Injury Physician, followed by FIFA 11+ exercises and 3v3 and 5v5 scrimmages.
Providing actionable information and tools for injury prevention, the program
will conclude with an engaging soccer-themed exposition that will include SONY
PS3s with FIFA 13, soccer accuracy shootouts with radar speed, SocialFoto booth
for one-of-a-kind digital pictures, refreshments, injury prevention gift bags
and a private autograph session with Lauren Cheney.
