On Saturday March 10th in front of a large gathering of family and friends, Manassas, Virginia native and 2011 MLS Rookie of the Year C.J. Sapong of Sporting KC came on as a late game substitute in a scoreless match against D.C. United at RFK Stadium to score the game winning goal. After the match, Virginia Online Soccer News cought up with the former member of local club PWSI, JMU Men's Soccer, and even Super-20 Nationals with D.C. United Youth Academy to discuss the goal.
