Taylor Stynes of Eastern View joines Bluefield College / Heather Schnake of Courtland High School chose ODU

Eastern View girls soccer player Taylor Stynes joined Bluefield College’s 2001 recruiting class after signing her national letter of intent March 26.

Stynes will attend the private Christian college in Bluefield, Va., on an athletic scholarship.
The senior earned second team All-Battlefield District honors last season. Before transferring to Eastern View, Stynes also earned Most Valuable Player and all-conference honors at Highland.

Stynes has also been a member of the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle’s (SOCA) U17 Elite team and competed in Super-Y — the highest level of youth league soccer in the country.

BECOMING A MONARCH: Courtland High School girls soccer and basketball star Heather Schnake chose grass over hardwood, orally committing to play soccer at Old Dominion University next year.

Schnake was the Cougars’ leading score last season and earned first team All-Battlefield and All-Region I honors.
