VYSA.com has released the following information regarding the Boys U16 State Cup compitition:
The outcome of State Cup Game #1620, played on September 25th, was protested. A Hearing Panel was formed and met with representatives of both teams involved on October 6th. The Panel ruled on the protest and notified both teams of their findings on October 8th. On Saturday October 9 an appeal of the Hearing findings was filed with the VYSA office. That appeal will be heard by the Adjudication Committee. Until such time as the Adjudication Committee meets to rule on that appeal of the Hearing Panel's findings, all competition in the U16 Boys Division of the National Championship Series for the State of Virginia will be put on hold. At this time it is unlikely that the Semi-finals and Finals for the U16 Boys Division will be held during the scheduled dates of October 30 and 31.
All remaining teams in the U16 Boys Division will be notified by the State Cup Committee with the play schedule for that division following the Adjudication hearing.
