Former Virginia Beach Submariners player, Corey Ashe added to USMNT roster

Born in Virginia Beach, VA and a former player for the then Virginia Beach Submariners (2006), current MLS player Corey Ashe has just been added to the USMNT camp roster ahead of a match against Belgium.

Chicago (May 23, 2013) - U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann announced the addition of Houston Dynamo left back Corey Ashe to the training camp roster eligible to play in the game against Belgium on May 29 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland (TICKETS).

Ashe will return to Houston in time for the June 1 match in Columbus. He is the third Dynamo player to be included on the roster, joining midfielder Brad Davis and goalkeeper Tally Hall.

This is the first call up to the full Men's National Team for Ashe. The product of the U-17 Residency Program co-captained the team to a fifth-place finish at the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Finland.
