ROCKVILLE, Md. – Real Maryland FC kicked off their 2011 home campaign in style soundly defeating regional rival the Northern Virginia Royals 2-0 in their home opener. This was the second of two games within 24 hours of one another where the Monarchs defeated the Virginia Beach Piranhas 3-0 on the road the day prior.
